Sponsorship
IAW AR 600-8-8, the Total Army Sponsorship Program, every Soldier in the ranks of Private through Colonel (excluding Soldiers completing advanced individual training (AIT) and Soldiers making PCS moves to student detachments at long-term schools) and civililan employees through grade 15 undergoing a PCS move will be offered the opportunity to participate in the advance arrival sponsorship program. Sponsorship is mandatory for first-term Soldiers.
Soldiers on assignment are required to logon to Army Career Tracker and submit DA Form 5434 (Sponsorship Program Counseling and Information Sheet) to request a sponsor. You sponsor will contact you with information about your gaining unit and will be available to answer questions about your move and gaining installation, as well as meet with you upon arrival to assist with inprocessing.
To help make your transition easier regarding your network account, please ensure you have the S-6 at your current installation delete your account once you leave, and make sure you have completed all training and update the required documents prior to arriving at Fort Eustis. Onboarding/Network Access procedures can be found here; you must have a Common Access Card (CAC) in order to update your information and reqquest a local network account. The Onboarding/Network Access page contains links to DMDC, ATCTS, and the training websites, as well as all required forms and instructions.
